Al Faris International Horseback Archery Competition is held for the first time in Amman, Jordan on June 9-10, 2011 under the Patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah II of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Al Faris Championship is a 2 (two)-day event where 3 (three) different main styles are executed: the Hungarian (European), the Korean (Asian), and the Turkish (Qabaq), in addition to the Jordanian Style being introduced for the first time this year.
Winners of the above-mentioned styles are based on the scores obtained that are calculated according to their ranks. They are announced on the last day together with the winner of the main title "Al Faris Champion".
The event also presents various shows of Horseback Archery, such as; the Tentpegging Show, the Mogu Show, and many more illustrated by the Polish, the Hungarian, and the Korean teams as well as other demonstrations performed by the Hosting Country.
